Summer Camp 2013

Looking for something to do during the summer that is fun, exciting and challenging?  Then come row with GMS at SoNo Rowing and do something different and positive with your summer vacation.  Meet new friends, learn a cool sport, and spend the day on the water.  We are dedicated to providing a fun, unique, and challenging experience that you will not forget.  GMS@SoNo also offers a competitive summer training program for experienced rowers through our Junior Summer Program.

We accept rowers as young as 12 years old in our sessions.  All campers are required to pass a float test.

Experienced Rower

  • Work on technique

  • Row in smaller boats and learn to scull (full day session)

Coxswains Experienced coxswains participate in camp free of charge with camp directors permission, contact

  • Challenge yourself with different boats and lineups
  • Meet new friends and potential teammates

Camp Sessions

We offer three different camp sessions throughout the summer that last three weeks each.  Camp runs Monday through Thursday and there are two options, morning only (9:30am-12pm) or full day (9:30am-4:30pm).

  • · Session 1: Mon. June 17th  - Fri. July 5th (no July 4th session)
  • · Session 2: Mon. July 15th – Thu, Aug 2nd
  • · Session 3: Mon. Aug 5th – Thu. Aug. 22nd

$640 for 3-week session, 9:30am-12pm
$1050 for 3-week session, 9:30am-4:30pm

Daily Camp Schedule

  • 9:30-10:00am     Attendance and warm up/stretching
  • 10:00-12:15am     Rowing activities
  • 12:15-12:30pm     Dock and put away equipment

End of morning session and camper pick up

  • 12:30-1:15pm      Lunch
  • 1:15-2:45pm        Small boats (Singles, doubles and quads)
  • 2:45-4:15pm        Medium boats (fours and quads)
  • 4:15 -4:30pm       Dock and put away equipment
